Patcher style leather sewing machines are found in every shoe repair shop in countries around the World. The are used to repair stitching and tears in shoe and boot uppers. These machines are unique in that they are fed entirely by the presser foot, which revolves in a full 360º circle.

The Cowboy cb7360 leather patcher, pictured here (click here for close-up of machine head), is capable of sewing up to 3/8" of medium temper leather, with up to #207 bonded nylon or polyester thread.

It has a narrow cylinder arm that's 19.5 inches long making it ideal for sewing tall boots, round cases, bags, purses and hats. Patchers are extremely useful for sewing embroidered patches onto garments, like leather vests and jackets. The narrow end of the cb7360 lets you sew patches over pockets and sleeves, something only patchers can do. The large bobbins hold more thread than most other patch machines.

Every new cb7360 purchase comes complete with a needle positioning servo motor mounted on an adjustable height pedestal work stand, with locking ball bearing castors. Also included are four bobbins and one pack of 10 needles (to match your preferred thread size).

The Cowboy cb7360 has top feed only, with teeth on the bottom of the foot. There is no feed dog on the bottom; just a smooth, double-ended plate. It is best suited for sewing non-markable chrome tanned/garment leather projects, or those where the tooth marks are not objectionable. The maximum clearance under the lifting presser foot is 1/2 inch, which allows you to actually sew 3/8" maximum thickness.

If you need to sew material that is considerably thicker than 3/8 inch, and/or with thread heavier than #207, you may want to consider buying our walking foot needlefeed, heavy duty CB3200, capable of sewing 1/2" with 138- #346 thread. Or, consider one of our super heavy duty triple feed machines, with a smooth feed dog and high lift walking feet. These "harness stitcher" - heavy leather sewing machines are available in 3 arm lengths: the 9" arm Cowboy CB3500, or the 16.5" Cowboy CB4500, or the 25" arm Cowboy CB5500. All three of these large stitchers are capable of sewing up to 7/8 inches of leather, with a size 415 thread handling capacity.
